The (Amazing!) Lacrosse Foundation

With the amazing support of The Lacrosse Foundation, Canterbury City Lacrosse Club are planning to implement a school’s lacrosse development programme in the 25/26 season. Targeting both primary and secondary schools we want to introduce as many youngsters as possible to this amazing sport, and to offer them coaching and support to set up their own teams.

This development programme would not be possible without the amazing support of The Lacrosse Foundation, a charity dedicated to the development of lacrosse in the UK, and who champion the sport at all levels.

The Lacrosse Foundation has helped the club to firstly get brand new goals for the club use, to replace our somewhat tattered set of goals that were quite literally falling apart! They have also provided pop lacrosse sticks and goals for the club to use in local primary schools.

The club is hugely grateful for the support of The Lacrosse Foundation, and would strongly recommend you reaching out to them if you are looking to develop the game in your area.

Cheltenham 7s Festival – 2024

This year we are joining around 3000 other athletes as we play lacrosse at the Cheltenham 7’s Festival.  Originally for rugby 7’s this festival has grown over the years to include many other sports (and lacrosse is new for 2024) as well as a fantastic music festival as well.  We are taking some of our men’s and women’s players to join scratch teams at the tournament and are looking forward to an amazing weekend of lacrosse, music, and fun!…. there may possibly be some alcohol involved at some point (drunk sensibly of course)!

Canterbury Lacrosse Re:Launch!

Welcome to the brand new website for newly re-formed Canterbury City Lacrosse Club. Over the past season a small group of committed players have banded together to form the nucleus of the new club, determined to make lacrosse available to any and all who would like to play this amazing sport in the beautiful city of Canterbury.

We are looking to relaunch in the 2024/25 season with a women’s team playing in the SEWLA League and a men’s team playing in the SEMLA league. We are also planning a mixed lacrosse team to play ad-hoc games and tournaments throughout the season.

So, if you are an experienced player looking for a new club, a University player looking for more game match exposure, a social player who just wants to have a knock-around, or a complete beginner that wants to learn how to play this amazing sport….. then you are all welcome.
